The DR has come out with another treat for the ignorant by revealing that “Rangers boss Mark Warburton faces dilemma over whether to keep faith with youth or splash the cash in January” well I am sure the youth like Kenny Miller are happy that other such youthful injections such as John Eustace have made up excuses not to have their wages garnished before they begin.
Sevco looking for star players and their well touted youth policy.
Can someone explain the meaning of splashing cash? Is it shopping for washed up bargains from lower league teams or is it resigning proven failures who didn’t get you out of the second tier last year. Sevco are spending 4 times more than Hibernian FC as our man 1998 hero Stubbs had the temerity to point out. Now he doesn’t have a Magic Hat but he has managed to pull the perpetual bridesmaids into some fine form reminiscent of the Diet’s run last year.
Here is a club with no money, no line of credit, begging for tradesman to fix Poundland before it falls to pieces, needing by its own admission 2 and half million of their majesties pounds sterling to remain afloat and its time to splash the cash? Oh but it gets better. You see Dave King is in town and “THE arrival of Rangers chairman Dave King from Johannesburg this week is to oversee an AGM rather than respond to an SOS.” that’s funny I thought he was here to try and keep out of jail as he is due in the court of session charged with Perjury. But AGM it is, hell the DR have never got anything wrong in the past. Accountability off the radar.
Blown your lead? No money? Facing jail? Time for some overinvesting methinks.
This bit here almost comes out as a plea through the media “WITH Rangers and Hibs tied at the top of the Championship table as the transfer window approaches, will Dave King be tempted to inject some cash into their title bid?” my bet is he invests as much as he has in the team so far. The team doesn’t have enough money to see out the year yet they are looking to add to the wage bill? Surely the culture of sycophants must be taken before the courts as well, that’s if they have enough courts to hear them. FFS they have no fewer than 8 cases before their majesty.
The DR has a poll there too, “Do Rangers need to strengthen in January” I voted yes and found that 81% agree with me. I believe they need to strengthen the main stand, the marble stair case and the locks on the doors of their tainted trophy room as its all coming crumbling down around them. Splash away Sevco, splash away.
